Byte By Byte

Byte by Byte, a series of eight books, is a heartfelt effort to teach information technology to young students so as to keep them abreast with the most recent developments in the world of technology, apart from teaching them the basics. The series is based on the latest technology and the latest version of MS operating system, i.e., Windows 10 and application software, i.e., Office 2016. The series also follows the latest guidelines of the NEP 2020 and NCF-SE 2023, making it an activity, values and life skills-based course. The relevant tasks are marked with icons as signals for the facilitator to negotiate the task accordingly. The series also adopts a cross-curricular approach and includes coding to develop logical and reasoning skills. With technology growing at breakneck speed, and new tools being provided frequently, conveying the latest information vis-à-vis computer application software and devices to young learners becomes imperative. The series, therefore, has updates based on Windows 11 and Office 2019 and incorporates Artificial Intelligence, which helps students inculcate thinking skills and breeds creativeness from an early stage. Students are introduced to the world of programming through MSW Logo, Scratch and Python programming languages.
