Our Incredible World
Our Incredible World is a course in Environmental Studies for the students of Classes 1 and 2. The aim of the course is to facilitate the teaching of the subject in a manner that allows the learners to apply the skills/knowledge they have gained, thereby strengthening their core understanding of the concepts learned—a clear departure from the traditional approach of teaching the subject. This learning-by-doing and activity-based approach of the course ensures that the learners will engage with the subject and develop important skills such as observation, analysis and inference.
Designed in consonance with the guidelines laid down by the NCERT, the graded content of the course is in line with the guidelines and the expected curricular goals of the NEP 2020 and NCF-SE 2023.
Being a learner-centric course, the thoughtfully selected content encourages learners to explore their surroundings and daily life. The topics and activities covered in the various lessons will help learners build important 21st-century skills, thereby also enhancing their overall development. The series extensively explores areas such as hands-on learning, experiential learning, 21st-century skills, HOTS, art integration, cross-curricular learning, values and life skills.
